Diluting buzzwords of 2014/2015

A buzzword is a word or phrase that has become popular through regular / overuse, particularly on social media sites and blogs. Buzzwords can exist within different industries too. Whilst looking at social media and blogging in the area of intranets I have noticed a pattern of buzzwords that occur and have been regularised amongst the topic. So what are these buzzwords and why are they used here?

Pursuing Your Passion

A bit about me

After studying Electronics at GCSE and absolutely loving it, I decided that what I wanted was to pursue a career in Electronics. So for my A-Levels I studied Maths, Physics and Computing to further my goal of going to University to do Electronic Engineering . This was my first proper introduction to computing, using Java to create a GPS tracking application.

Invotra - The benefits of integrating a SaaS solution to solve your business problems

SaaS or Software as as Service is a method of providing applications via the internet. It removes the physical element to software and the time spent installing and updating it with patches. The owner of the SaaS application is responsible for access, security, performance and availability. With the majority of us now owning a smart device or tablet connected to the web, it means that we can now access the applications that we know and love more frequently.

Micronisation of the enterprise

Micronisation :

The process by which a material is reduced in size, often to micrometer proportions.

What we are discussing here is the way in which organisations are having to deal with micronisation of transactions, communications and timeframes.

Micronisation of companies is exacerbating the requirements to manage projects and work in a completely different way than we have ever had to in the past.

Invotra - The story behind our brandmark

Invotra

It began with a name

It was this time last year that I started working on the visual identity for Invotra. From the outset my mantra for creating the visual identity for Invotra has been focussed simplicity.

The digital gym - Wish your organisation worked healthier?

We are just over 2 weeks of the way into 2015 and no doubt many of us have made a new years resolution to get ourselves fit and healthy. We might have also set ourselves new goals and objectives for the year at work or in business. Whatever the resolution, it is this time of the year that we reflect and try to identify areas to improve and develop in our lives. It is also apparent that a lot of what we are trying to achieve resonates upon the same principles! Some of which I will try to explain through the widely adopted process of getting fit and healthy...every new year!
