UXD what is it and why it matters

A brief history

UXD or more specifically User Experience Design is a subject that is much talked about today. What was once an approach championed by a small minority, has now come to dominate the mainstream in product development and application design.

A few tech giants were quick to adopt and implement these methodologies. Apple and Google offer user experiences with their technology, that so many today try to emulate or surpass.

Retain, motivate and build loyalty in your workforce with Invotra

We all know how important employee engagement is, to say it’s a buzz word somehow degrades it’s worth, but that’s not the case.  Employee engagement is a trend that’s here to stay. Organisations are realising the true potential in the people in their business.  Retaining employees lowers staff recruitment and training costs and motivated staff are more productive and efficient.  Fact!

How Agile makes your Digital Transformation better

To work in a truly agile way it helps if the team is small and the software is flexible, which is the case with Invotra.  Our development teams stay on the project from conception to completion and during that time they’re constantly adapting the project delivery to suit the client, or more often, the user requirements.

Graduation Day

Now, this is a story all about how
My life got flipped-turned upside down
And I’d like to take a minute
Just sit right there
I’ll tell you how I became the fresh PM with red hair

Invotra is delighted to support MPS Awareness Day on Friday May 15th

Invotra will be turning Blue on Friday May 15th in support of my young nephew Max. As some of you are aware, my nephew Max was diagnosed with the incurable, degenerative disease MPS when he was just a year old. MPS causes progressive damage throughout the body, including the heart, bones, joints, respiratory system and central nervous system. It is a very serious and ultimately fatal disease with most MPS sufferers not reaching their teenage years.

Not voted yet? 8 steps to voting for the Digital Leaders 100

Invotra are set to have an incredible year.  They’ve worked on three central government projects, appear on the Digital 100 List three times, one of the their apprentices has been nominated for Microsoft Apprentice of the Year, they’re moving to a new office in June and will also be appearing as the main sponsor for the only UK independent intranet conference - Intranet Now in October.

To win an award would be the icing on the cake - recognition for the whole team and the hard work they have put in over the last year.

Invotra apprentice has been recognised for his achievements on major government contract

Jamie Garrett, 20 from South East London left school with excellent GCSE results.  He’d already shown great aptitude in ICT, but rather than going onto higher education he decided to become an apprentice.

When Invotra went through a period of growth they decided to invest in an apprenticeship programme, one that is now stronger than ever.  Jamie approached Invotra independently about their apprenticeship programme after finishing a short term contract for London 2012 Olympics.

Invotra have been honoured in the Digital Leaders 100 list

‘The 2015 Digital Leaders 100 list honours the highest digital achievements from across the UK’s public, private and non-profit sectors, celebrating individuals and organisations who are leveraging digital to transform the UK’s public services and its social and economic opportunities’

We’re thrilled to be short-listed for 3 awards.  The Digital Leaders programme received 700 applications at the beginning of the year, so being in the final 100 is an achievement worth celebrating.  Winning would be the icing on the cake after a very busy year of project delivery.
