My reaction to events in Nice

Topics:

I’m angry and saddened by the recent tragedy in Nice. My thoughts go out to the families, friends and loved ones who now have to pick up the pieces after this senseless loss of life. There are few words suitable for print which sum up my feelings about this but I would like to extend my, and Invotra’s sympathies to all those affected by this event.

Invotra land in The Mile High City

On June 1, 2016, less than two years after incorporation, Invotra opened its first US office in Denver, Colorado.

Snowsports, the spectacular Rocky Mountains, black bears & craft beer aside, we were attracted to The Mile High city because of the booming tech scene - which is thankfully well equipped to handle the otherwise semi arid climate and is flourishing.

GDS is changing, and for the better

In recent weeks and months, there’s been a palpable change in attitude emanating from the UK’s Cabinet Office digital office, Government Digital Services (GDS). They have new leadership in Stephen Foreshew-Cain, who came in to lead at the beginning of the year.

Microsoft & LinkedIn

The news that Microsoft purchased LinkedIn shocked lots of people and it's an interesting move and one that is in my opinion a great one for Microsoft as long as they exert self controls. Microsoft have much to gain from this acquisition but the biggest threat to its success is themselves.

Celebrating 5 Years of Apprenticeships

In June 2011, Invotra (iO1, as it was known then) was a very young company.

Still very much in startup mode, we were based in a tiny office called the Old Bakery in Woking here in leafy Surrey. This was the first time that CEO Fin Galvin branched out from his garage office and paid rent for a company office near his home. Interesting times, for those who are familiar with the startup culture. Things were getting serious.

Invotra: Where it all began

Open Source Software offers savings for government, argues Ian Paisley

In June 2014, iO1 parent company of Invotra, were asked to present at a cross parliamentary event at the Houses of Commons on the topic of open source software and the benefits it can deliver to central government.

Passionate about innovation, Ian Paisley took the initiative to bring key minds together to facilitate a discussion.

Open Source Intranets - Collaboration in the Enterprise

Moving from legacy systems to cloud applications can be a daunting task for a lot of organisations, especially those with huge user amounts.

We have had experience of working with organisations like The Home Office, who have 30,000 users logging onto a system to do their job every day.

Moving from legacy, proprietary systems to cloud applications was a brave new step in securing a future proof system that has now become the back bone of their organisation.

They did it and so can you...read our guide to securing the right collaboration tool for you.
